Necedah Dual Tournament
Necedah ended the day 0-5 as a team at our own dual tournament, but still was able to have some individual success. Hunter was undefeated on the day, Augie recorded 3 wins, while Zach and Dakota had 2 wins each. Detailed Results
Necedah 24 Brookwood 42
The Falcons took the overall win tonight, but the Cards won the battle! On the mat, Necedah finished with 3 wins to the Falcons 2. The boys that wrestled, wrestled with intensity and kept their foot on the gass pedal to push toward their individual victories. See Detailed Results
Necedah 21 Onalaska Luther 42
The Cardinals battled hard again tonight on the mat; though the final score was not in our favor again with forfeits, Necedah still won 3 out of 5 matches wrestled. Hunter won by decision while Zach and Nelson both recorded pins against their opponents. Augie received a forfeit for Necedah. Wish the boys luck as they travel to North Crawford for a team tournament on Saturday.
Olson Goes 5-0 at NC Duals
Necedah traveled to North Crawford for a dual tournament on Saturday Dec. 20th. The team was unable to get a victory, but there was once again some individual success to still celebrate. After losing his first match by decision, Augie battled back and won the next four to finish the day 4-1. Hunter not only went 5-0 on the day, he defeated Dunwald from Brookwood to avenge a loss from a couple of weeks ago. David, Nelson and Zach were all able to record one win on the day as well.
Necedah 36 Hillsboro 42
So close to pulling off an upset and gaining a conference win! Necedah gave up 30 points in forfeits to the Tigers tonight, but wrestled 6-2 on the mat with 6 pins; barely losing to Hillsboro 36-42. The boys showed a lot of heart wrestling hard tonight and are ready for a long day of wrestling at Omro on Saturday.
Augie 1st at Omro Scramble
Necedah headed east to Omro in their annual scramble. It's nice to go that direction and see some different competition. The boys all had lots of mat time, many wrestling 5 matches on the day. Nelson and Ryan finished fourth on the day and Augie Pintarro claimed his first Omro championship in his high school career. See Full Tournament Results HERE
Necedah Falls Hard to Cashton
Cashton brought a full team to the Necedah gym and wrestled very well tonight. Necedah had one win on the mat and that was 126 lb Augie Pintarro who pinned his opponent after trailing by 10 points. Full Match Details
Hillsboro Tiger Invite
Necedah had a LONG day at the Tiger invite, but it was full of really great competition. Our boys may not have recorded a lot of wins, but the mat time definitely helped all of them. Augie was our top finisher, placing 3rd in a weight class that featured state ranked wrestlers.
Tough week of Wrestling
Tuesday the team traveled to Kickapoo in a close loss to the Predators. Both teams were low in numbers, but Kickapoo won the battle on the mat to beat the Cards. Nelson was the lone victor on the mat for Necedah; winning a grueling decision. Augie and David recorded forfeits.
Thursday the team hosted New Lisbon for Senior night. The Rockets out-wrestled the Cards in a lopsided finish. Augie was the only winner for Necedah, pinning his opponent in the first period.
